Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Rivers South East Senatorial District in the legislative re-run election, has commended the Obolo nation for their support for APC and the decamping of Hon. Sylvanus Kingston from PDP to APC. Speaking at a rally at Ngo town in Andoni Local Government Area, Abe said it was a thing of joy that the Andoni people have realized that the path to the development of Andoni could properly be attained through the APC. He said initially why many people in Rivers State were in PDP was because of giving solidarity to former President Goodluck Jonathan but when the project failed a lot of Rivers people thought aloud that the best option was to be in APC.
The Rivers State commissioner for information and communication, Dr. Austin Tam-George has said that the British prime minister, David Cameron’s recent comment on Nigeria as being “fantastically corrupt” was an apparent reference to the minister of transportation and former governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi’s corrupt legacy in Rivers State.
Cool thing the Rivers re-run elections have come and gone (even though inconclusive); now every resident of Port Harcourt is looking forward to an effective and efficient leadership by Wike and the PDP led government. All we pray is that they take our city and our state higher. I had to write this open letter to our youths because I have a serious concern.
