Hosting Confabs In PH Proves Rivers’ Safe – Wike (The Tide)

The Rivers State Governor, Chief  Nyesom Wike has again said that the several national and international conferences being held in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital are a strong prove that the state is peaceful, secure and safe for investment contrary to the negative media campaign by the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, (APC).

Wike stated this while speaking at a special Sunday service to climax the Salem Outpouring Conference of the Foundation Faith Church, Rumuomasi, Port Harcourt.

Represented by his Deputy, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, the governor commended the body of Christ for joining forces with government towards achieving the prevailing peaceful atmosphere in the state.

He said, his administration was passionate about touching the lives of the people of the state, which necessitated the execution of robust infrastructure in all the critical sectors, including road rehabitation/construction, education, health, security, housing, water and power.

Wike called on the church to continue to pray for the Government because it believes in the power of God in the enthronement of peace, security and development of the State.

According to the Governor, ”God will give us the grace to finish what He has mandated us to do for the people in Rivers State despite our lean finances”, expressing delight to the Foundation Faith Church for holding the Salem Outpouring Conference in Port Harcourt.

In his exhortation, the Archbishop of Foundation Faith Church, Salem Family Worldwide, Dr. Sam Amaga stressed the need for Christians to have good relationship with God, emphasizing that it was only when Christians receive Christ that they will have eternal life.

Amaga used the occasion to appeal to the state government to provide the church with a parcel of land to enable it build a private University for the training of God-fearing people who will lead the country in the way of the Lord.

Highlight of the special church service was prayers for Governor Wike, his Deputy, Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo and other leaders of the state.
