Lessons to learn from 2 year old boy

A father told his two-year old son to shut a door in the presence of his friend. The boy replied ‘Go and close the door yourself’. His friend shouted with a loud voice and told his friend that if this boy were to be his son, he would beat him into door shutting business.

This story happened for real and it teaches us a lot of lessons.

Train up your child in the way he should go so that when he is old, he will not depart from it.

It is garbage in, garbage out.

We need this kind of advice to change and make progress

There is nothing wrong when your friend give you good advice which you have to reason very well to see if it benefits you. There is a popular saying in Igbo land (Eastern Nigeria) that says that a king who does not take advice will carry shit (faeces) and go market, and nobody will tell him to clean it because he does not allow anybody to advice him.

Some of us need to be beaten before we start a business

The hunger, poverty and uncertainty these days are enough beating already for us to start doing business and become great entrepreneurs. We cannot continue to fold our hands and expect the government or somebody from somewhere to do something for us. We have to take the bull by the horn.

It is time to get angry with the economy and change it for good. We can change the bad economy to good economy. The economy is a collective production output of every individual. It is time for change.

We have to get angry at these words: Economy is bad and these are hard times.

We must be disciplined.

I read and listen to great people and discover that one of the virtues they all have in common is discipline. There is no substitute to this virtue in this present world where a lot is changing and requires that you update yourself daily. You have to sit up and do what you believe you have to do. If you don’t do it, nobody will do it for you.
